The early 1970's saw new chunkier shaped ferries appearing on the Dover-Ostend rout, 'Prins Philippe' in 1973 and 'Prince Laurent' in 1974, with bow and stern doors and a step-change in vehicle carrying capacity.
'Prins Philippe' seen here entering Ostend, in almost-new condition. The Sealink / RMT logos didn't improve the looks.
I believe this is 'Prins Philippe' due to the original paintwork, which dates the photograph to about 1973. Soon after, possibly at the guarantee dry-docking, the white paintwork was taken down a further deck and the 'Sealink' logo reduced in size.
Sold to Italy in 1986 becoming 'Moby Love', then to Greece 1993.

The Belgian Marine Administration's (later RMT) first car ferry, departing from Ostend for Dover. 2nd ferry of the name.
Withdrawn during 1974 after receiving Sealink branding, sold on for Mediterranean service as 'Athens Express'.
At the time of build, the car carrying aspect was less prominent than in later years, as the ships gradually became more box-like. Hence a lot of style and shape is retained despite the stern door.
